Keg at BD TH, 05/04/19. Lightly hazed golden amber with a decent off white covering. Nose is stewed fruits, herb, straw, lemon drizzle cake, stale breads, light booze. Taste comprises tangy fruits, yeast esters, light herb, white peppery spice, grass, bitter orange, hay bale. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, drying close. Ok punchy saison.

Draft at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark blonde, hazy, with moderate white foam, fine. Elegant looking. Aroma is interesting, both fruity and peppery. Body is fairly dense with good carbonation. Taste is moderately sour, with some sweetness and good bitterness as well. Finish is fairly long.

On keg at Six Degrees North. In two minds whether this is a Saison or an Abbey Tripel. Appearance - golden and hazy. Decent lacing. Nose - candied lemon and pineapple. Light spice. Taste - spice, probably white pepper. More candied fruit. Yeasty edge. Palate - tangy and medium bodied from start to finish. Overall - good.

Keg at Six D, Aberdeen. It pours rich oily amber with a bubbly white cap. The aroma is rich, oily, sweet, sticky, peppery spice upfront, honeyed fruits, melon, stewed pear and fruit cake. The taste is dry, bitter, peppery spice, warming, oily, boozy alcohol kick, grass, straw, bitter orange peel, herbal accents and some honeydew melon with a lingering bitter, peppery finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and oily mouth - feel. I find it a bit heavier and oilier that the beer they are emulating. Fun anyhow.
