Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass dark, small head. Starts very strong, a bit alcoholic, quite sweet. Some fruity hints, more and more chemical like medicine. Not too drinkable. Not my favourite.

Bottle. Brown, sparkly, big off-white head. Roasted, dark sugar aroma. Sweet, molassis base, light roast, nuts, grassy counterplay. Fullbodied, sticky mouthfeel. Sweet and herbal finish. At that strength I would like to have a bit more character in my beer.

50 cl bottle. Rated on 01.06.2010
Brown colour, transparent. Aroma has sweet malt, alcohol, resin and toffee. Flavour is smooth with alcohol, oven apples and spices. Nice, although the alcohol comes too much through.

Bottled (from mein-biershop.de). Deep reddish/rubyish amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet malts, caramel, mild alcohol and toffee. Flavour is caramel malts, alcohol, toffee and some slight burnt sugary notes. Rather sweet, but is a perfect fit with blue stilton.

Bottled (500ml, BZ, BB 06/2010)
Clear dark chestnut-copper color, good steady beige head. Aroma has woody-grassy hoppyness, rye, fruity alcohol and hints of caramel. Almost full-bodied. Front is caramellish, then alcohol, light notes of licorice and grassy hoppyness. Rounded mouthfeel. Decent eisbock.
