330 ml bottle from Bottle Shop, Salzburg.
Black body, with a medium, creamy, dark beige head.
Rich aroma of coffee, chocolate, biscuit, some ash, lots of dark fruits, subtle hops.
Tastes of coffee, chocolate, ash, dark fruits, some liquorice, honey like sweet malts, quite a lot of fruity hops from the background.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes smooth, roasty, with coffee, wood, some ash, some chocolate and zesty hops.
Tasty! A pretty smooth Imperial Stout, with the typical coffee and chocolate notes, balanced by both, ashy notes and fruity hops. Taste isn’t a great as the nose in my opinion and maybe a bit too sweet. But overall a great beer and finally a very enjoyable Imperial Stout from Austria, that seems to be available year-round.

(bottle, 33cl) Dark brown, almost black coloured hue with a brown and short foamy head. Leathery and moderately roasted malty aroma with earthy notes, hints of chocolate. Moderately roasty bitter and mildly sweet flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Dark and moderately roasted malty taste with notes of bitter chocolate, traces of espresso and vanilla; roasty bitter, slightly sweet finish with notes of grounded coffee beans in the aftertaste. Not bad. 11.XII.14

Tap at Craft Bier Fest Wien. Aroma strong roasted, light dark fruits. Clear almost black. Oily texture. Taste tobacco, strong roasted, rather dry, bitter. Very good, alcohol hidden well.
