Can. Pours black with medium tan had leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is roasted malt, cocoa, wood, spice, espresso. Medium body, intense roast, dark chocolate, ash, wood, very bitter, boozy finish, enjoyed this.

Can from the brewery. Pours a completely black color that leaves a brown tint on the glass almost the way oil would. Virtually no head, and absolutely no lace. Aroma is sweet chocolate and some roast. Almost a mocha-like component as well. There's a hint of booze in the aroma and flavor, but it's rather subtle. Drinks very smooth and creamy, thick texture. Finishes a little dry. Hides the alcohol very well at 13%. Could be quite dangerous. Really excited to have had a chance to make it by for their opening, as all the beers are legit right off the bat.
