Das goldene Märzen: Vollmundig, kräftig, malzig! Feine Karamellnoten und angenehm-milde Hopfenbittere! Ein wahres Genusserlebnis!

This golden yellow Märzen beer, a jewel of Bavarian brewing, combines an exceptionally fine scent with a light, fruity flavor. Full-bodied and spicy at the same time, the malt is emphasized from first sip to the finish.

[10/4/11] Draught at Ølbaren in Copenhagen. Clear deep golden with a bubbly white head. Aroma of somewhat grainy malt. Sweetish flavor with some somewhat grainy malt and a slightly drier finish. Rather light-bodied.

Bottle from the Whidbey Beer Works. Pours amber with a foamy white head. Strong malty aroma, but mellow and caramel. Medium body with foamy carbonation. Lightly caramel with a good dose of hop bitter for flavor. The level of bitter makes it a very tasty beer.

Pours a dusted copper with a while head that leaves a collar and whispy deck. Aroma of bread and sweet malt. Medium body that is thin on the finish. Biscuity taste with solid malt backbone.

Bottled 500ml. -from beerangel.de shared with Doggythedog.
Darker golden coloured, medium sized white head that went away slowly, honeyish grainy nose with touch of cardboard. The taste is almost the same- malty, honeyish grainy and cardboardy with touch of caramel hops in the finish. Like Asam Bock expected better beer.

Bottle from beerangel.de, shared with ogivladoDark golden body (how on earth is this a Vienna??), medium-big thick white head. Fine grainy, distinctly honeyish maltiness in the nose. A fine sweetish lager, fruity malty notes (light cardboard too?), honey again, ending with a light herbal hopiness that lends a light bitterness. Balanced and nice.

bottle - Pours copper with suspended yeast flakes. The aroma is of caramel malt with a touch of fruit. The flavor features crisp, mild hops with lightly toasted caramel and grain malt. It’s well balanced and very drinkable, another good German session brew. Underrated, IMO.
