Our Köstritzer cellar beer is an unfiltered, bottom-fermented beer specialty for real connoisseurs. Full-bodied and with natural turbidity, the original taste of the old brewing tradition was preserved with this beer. The best raw materials such as a special roasted malt, special malts and selected hops give the beer specialty from Köstritzer not only its unique aroma, but also its characteristic look.

Keg draught at the Maypole, Cambridge. Honey brown, clear, very little head or obvious carbonation. Smell is honey, caramel, biscuit spread (all sorts of sticky sweet things that go on toast!), with an earthy cereal note. Sweet biscuity taste with more bitterness toward the long lip-smacking finish. Too little carbonation makes it feel flat and oily. I’ve had better and worse Kellerbiers; this one is certainly decent without over exciting the senses.
