Our Köstritzer cellar beer is an unfiltered, bottom-fermented beer specialty for real connoisseurs. Full-bodied and with natural turbidity, the original taste of the old brewing tradition was preserved with this beer. The best raw materials such as a special roasted malt, special malts and selected hops give the beer specialty from Köstritzer not only its unique aroma, but also its characteristic look.

Draught at Ölrepubliken on March 25, 2015.Clear copper oxide to brown color, lasting nice yellow to teal head. Malty, light sweet, creamy taste. Light sweetened cream, mixed with hop bitter aftertaste. High CO2, almost fizzy, yet strangely smooth mouthfeel. Clean, malty, the slightest bit floral/fruity, a tad sweet scent. Rather low bitterness. Highly drinkable.

(Draught at Man in the Moon, Stockholm, 20 Oct 2014) Hazy amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with toast, apricots, orange peel and hay. Malty, slightly fruity taste with notes of bread, toast, apricots and a gentle citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Well balanced and tasty. Quite enjoyable.
