Our Köstritzer cellar beer is an unfiltered, bottom-fermented beer specialty for real connoisseurs. Full-bodied and with natural turbidity, the original taste of the old brewing tradition was preserved with this beer. Bottle 500ml. @ home on the terrace. [ As Köstritzer Kellerbier ].Light unclear medium amber orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, grain, hay, pale malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a long duration, grain, hay, sweet malt, light bread, light caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140802]

Tap at mitm. Deep amber color, big cloudy off-white head. Grainy aroma. Light-bodied. Grainy flavor, sweetish maltyness, very light citrusy hops. Simple.

Bottle at restaurant in Berlin. Pours a cloudy orange colour with a creamy, medium, ivory head. Careful aroma with pale malt, moist basement and hay. The flavour is light too and is a little sweet with a malty and grassy touch. Slick mouthfeel and has a light bitterness. An easy drinking beer with a light aroma and taste.

A 500ml bottle, unfiltriert Kellerbier picked up at a Penny store in Mannheim. The noisy pour revealed a clear golden-brown coloured body, disappearing pearl white head, minimal lacing. Modest aroma of brown malts, hints of herbal hops. Flavoured with smooth caramel malts, bread and herbs. Mild roasted ending. Medium bodied. Satisfying (hotel room, Basel 27.07.2014).

Draught @ Fermentoren, Århus. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of malt, bread, grass, green apples. Flavor is malty, bread, light caramel, grassy. Medium body, soft carbonation. 120714

Draught @ The Rover. Pours tiny hazy golden with a rather big frothy offwhite head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of thick lacing on the glass. Smell is slightly malty and slightly herbal with crispbread, moist grass, orange zest, persimmon and hints if moist herbs. Taste is tiny sweet, slightly bitter, malty and tiny herbal with dark bread, crispbread, moist grass, orange zest and lemon balm. Mouthfeel is soft, round and light to medium bodied. Draught @ Black Door, Hki. Cloudy, near amber with a creamy white head. Grainy malty, sweet, earthy notes in aroma. Creamy smooth mouthfeel, grainy, slightly sweet, honey. Mild bitterness, carbonation thickles a little. Light. Quite ok.
