An Organic Brown Ale from Hornbeer. Brown Ale is the classic English pub ale. A top-fermented beer with a taste of chocolate malt and caramel malt. And why the crazy name? Hornbeer is a farmhouse brewery located in the beautiful Hornsherred, and a stone’s throw from the brewery is where the finest organic red cows graze. We wanted to spare you the trouble of pronouncing the Danish name “Den Røde Ko”, but maybe a few Red Cows could help with that? Enjoy Hornbeer "The Red Cow" for a good lunch with nice people. Brown Ale is the beer for not too spicy food. Try it with game or with a good stew.

Bottle Brown Colour with medium head.Aroma is bready and mild with hint of Brown sugar and toasted malt.Flavor of drives befries and roasted malt with hoppy mild finish.

Bottle at Pub Winston. Deep brown color, small off-white head. Strong berryish, caramelly aroma. Medium-bodied. Flavor has also caramel, berries and kind of milky vibe. Too sweet for my liking.

(Keg at Pikkulintu, 20150103) The beer poured brown and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, molasses and caramel. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, molasses, coffee, caramel and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A nice malty brew.

Tap@Taphouse, CPH - amber pour with off-white head. Medium sweet toasty malty aroma and taste with some caramel, brown sugar, nuts, some twiggy hoppyness on the palate, bitter finish. Ok.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a hazy, nutty brown with a beige head. Nutty, roasty nose. Medium body, nuts and ashy roast with a malty bitter finish. Not bad for what it is. 271214

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Red amber colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Chocolate and light roast. Moderated bitter average finish. Creamy palate. Nice.

Bottle 500ml. [ As Hornbeer The Red Cow ].Light unclear medium brown - red amber color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, toasted - roasted, earthy - basement, berry - grape notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, basement, dusty malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20141031]
