Clear amber to mahogany colour with good, off-white head, receding. Sweet, chestnut flour nose, with a leafy, drier finish. Very special sweet-spicey, leafy taste. Combination of speculoos, dark green leaves as Aucuba, coloured malts, and wetted German dark bread. It’s WEAK (certainly for a Bock!), but d*mn complex, a bit like a top-British bitter on cask - and this is bottled, no mistake. Light, light, even when nowhere watery. But oh, this could do with another 1.5% ABV worth of malts! Still, this is a superbly drinkable Bock. Big thanks to DonS!
