Bottles from the source: pours black with barely any head. Aroma is carmelized sugar, vanilla, hints of nuts, marzipan notes. Taste is slightly boozy but not approaching its prodigious size. Also, this is fortunately not too sweet. Sort of nutty finish. Marzipan is strong in the taste and vanilla is fortunately pretty weak. Interesting.
Sweet as ever, sugary mapley and a bit nutty.

Bottle shared at home with the in-laws - black pour with a tan head. Sweet dark malty with sweet notes of sticky maple, caramel, muscovado sugar molasses, full body and slick mouthfeel, sweet vanilla and some almond nutty accents into the dark sweet malty finish.
