Appearance: clear bronze colour, moderate off-white head of medium retention. Aroma: caramel and toasted malts, esters, coffee, earthy hop. Taste: moderately sweet, light to medium bitter. Rich malts. Coffee, esters. earthy hop at finish. Lingering hoppy aftertaste. Palate: Medium to full body. Well rounded. Medium to high carbonation. Overall: very British. Well made. Delicious.

Tap. Bronze color, clear, yellowish foam. Aroma: sweet, caramel, candy, crystal malt, a little coffee, candied fruit. Taste: full-malt, pleasant malt mix with light coffee, British hops + coffee, earthy, good one.

Draught @ Soho, Tampere. Aroma has toffeeish and somewhat grainy malt. Flavour has toffee, coffee, some sweet malt typical to ESB. Finishes with dry milk coffee. Balanced and nice. A living proof that coffee can be good in other styles than stout.
