Vor über 15 Jahren wagten sich unsere Brauer an das Thema Weizenbier. Es wurde getestet, getüffelt und für gut befunden. Aus dem einstigen Experiment, dessen Ergebnis Brauer und Biertrinker im selben Maß überzeugte, wurde 1999 das helle Hefeweizen zur festen Größe im Huppendorfer Sortiment.
Eingebraut mit 60% Weizenmalz und vergoren mit obergäriger Hefe, steigt der Duft von Banane und Nelke angenehm in die Nase, geschmacklich abgerundet durch eine leichte Bittere.

Tap at Café Abseits. Murky orange color with white head. Aroma is minerally, spicy yeasts, a bit milky as well. Taste is minerally, spicy, leafs and grass as well as milk. Silky mouthfeel. Super-minerallic Franconian Weizen, I have to say I prefer the south Bavarian ones.

Bit unclear, pale golden colored, small to medium white head, not very lasting. Aroma is of some wheat, banana and fruity, some bready notes but nothing too strong. Taste is medium sweet wheat, bit bready banana, fruity, light honey, some yeasty notes and bit spicy finish, light+ bitterness, light citric. Medium- bodied, average carbonation. Maybe too fruity and clear for a Hefeweizen although the taste is not bad. Should try a fresher one... (bottle, past BB date)

bottle from Heinrichs 3000 Kornwestheim. Cloudy golden yellow, tall and creamy white head. Wheaty and yeasty, not too fruity. Smooth palate.

Very estery and pungent nose with tons of bananas. Very full bodied lots of bananas and cloves. A bit heavy for the style, but enjoyable.

Draught (Cafe Abseits, Bamberg) - Golden with a haze. Banana, cream and cloves in the aroma. Skumbanan and hints lemon are in the refreshing and slightly sweet taste.

słodki zapach, głównie banan, drożdże, do tego trochę goździka i odrobina biszkopta. barwa jasnego bursztynu, bardzo mocno zmętniona. piana zaskakująco słaba jak na styl, obfita, ale niezbyt drobna i szybko (stosunkowo) znika. w smaku dość wytrawne, wodniste, spora kwaskowość (jak kwasek cytrynowy), bardzo dużo banana, trochę biszkoptu, goryczki brak. mocno orzeźwiające, wysokie, typowo pszeniczne nasycenie.
