Vor über 15 Jahren wagten sich unsere Brauer an das Thema Weizenbier. Es wurde getestet, getüffelt und für gut befunden. Aus dem einstigen Experiment, dessen Ergebnis Brauer und Biertrinker im selben Maß überzeugte, wurde 1999 das helle Hefeweizen zur festen Größe im Huppendorfer Sortiment.
Eingebraut mit 60% Weizenmalz und vergoren mit obergäriger Hefe, steigt der Duft von Banane und Nelke angenehm in die Nase, geschmacklich abgerundet durch eine leichte Bittere.

Fra fat på Cafe Abseits, Bamberg 9 Okt 14. Aprikosfarget. Uklar. Aroma av sitrus. Smaken det samme med et syrlig preg. Svakt søtlig men ok. Bierprobe.

Bierprobe, 200ml vom fass at Cafe Abseits. Grey-golden coloured body with a wheat haze. Bubbly, tiny white head, lacing to the upper level of the glass. Mild floral hops on the nose, hints of coriander. Banana sweetness to the taste profile joined by spiced fruits. Quite well bodied. A little to heavy on the sweety side (Bamberg 09.10.2014).

From tap at Cafe Abseits, Bamberg. Hazy orange golden color with white head. Aroma is fruity, lot of banana, light citrusy and yeasty. Taste is sweet with banana and yeast again. Thin to medium body, oily, average to soft carbonation.

Trübes goldgelbes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, fruchtig. Geschmack hefig, fruchtig nach Banane, leicht würzig.

Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass zippy, huge head. Starts malty-yeasty, not too dry, modest sourish. Fruity notes of apricot. Finish still dominated by malty notes, more dry. Okay.

Bottle @ benzai shared by me. Slightly hazy yellow to orange colour with a small white head. Smells banana, sweet, wheat and more banana. Tastes lots of banana, sweet, wheat and lots of banana. Can’t handle this right now. Thin to medium body, low carbo.

Bottle shared by Dutchdrebus @ weekly tasting. Clear golden color, small white head that diminishes quickly. Smell sweetness and banana. Taste sweetish, banana, yeasty. Nothing really wrong with it but nothing I really like either. Meh.

On tap at Cafe Abseits Bamberg. Cloudy gold slight orange lasting cream head. Lots of banana its hoppy its fine a good hoppy weizen odd meaty aroma a light weizen.

Bottle @ Hopfen @ Malz, Berlin. Pours cloudy golden with a white head and lacings. Sweet banana and orange. Overriped and estery. Medium bodied.
