Small slightly bubbly shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet grainy, caramel malts, wet grain, hay, hints of malt candy. Taste is slightly sweety, light malts, caramel, wet grain, nuts, hints of toffee. Medium bitterness. Boring!

500ml bottle. Clear, orangey, deep golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy, husky, minimally strawy aroma, hints of ’Fleischwurst’ (pork sausage). Taste is pale malty, minimally strawy, cereals, subtle sweetness. Relatively strong Helles, therefore clearly above average.

Lys brun med hvitt fint skum. Lukter malt og frukt. Har lite smak men er noe søt/fruktig. ganske lite bitterhet - lite ettersmak.

Lite skum, fin gyllen farge. Duft av hvete. smak av hvete med en litt tørr etersmak. Greit drikkeøl til mat.

Bottle as "Krausen-Bügel Lager Hell", 4.7%. Clear golden with tiny white head. Aroma is malt, fruit and a little butter. Flavour is malt, fruit, medium sweet, hop, little sweet, little bitter, little grass and a little metallic.

Bottle @ Uncle Chris’ house in Fürth. Fairly clear, golden appearance with an off white head. A bit yeasty, grainy, rich hay, a bit sweet, floral aroma. Light corn, chewy straw, hay, somewhat sweet flavor. There’s a slight buttery element to it as well. Not as good as I was hoping.

Bottle from Corks of Cotham, Bristol. Clear gold in colour with a frothy white head. Sweet, stone fruits with a yeasty edge, followed by bread cereals and a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Bottle from Varnaveien mineralvann as Krausen-Bügel. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of malt and grain with just a hint of hops. Easy to drink and quite ordinary German lager beer.
