Op tap bij de brouwerij, uit kroes. Licht moutig, rode appel, grassig, hoppig, bitter, licht granig, rond, vol. Lichte body. Prima 1e bier na 7u autorijden.

Expired bottle. Gold with a frothy, white head. Grassy, grainy aroma. Taste mildly bitter with an unusual, sour apple cider note that I’m chalking up to being 4 months past BB. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Rerate candidate.

June 2019: 500 ml swingtop bottle, from Det Gode Brygg, Sandnes, as Kraus Lager Hell. ABV is 4.7%. Golden colour, large white head. Aroma of malts, honey, flowers and grass. Moderately sweet but still refreshing flavour, notes of malts and honey, hints of caramel, moderate hops.
Earlier Rating: 10/20/2005 Total Score: 3.4 500 ml bottle, many thanks to Gr0ve who supplied it to me from SmartClub Norway. Golden colour, moderate head. Moderate carbonation, good mouthfeel. Pleasant malty sweet aroma with strong notes of butterscotch and honey. Flavour has also butterscotch notes, but also a decent hoppy bitterness well balanced with the malts. Very drinkable.

Krausen Lager aus Hirschaid, Flasche aus Tausch mit Pivnizub - danke, Günther! - Kupfergold, schwach trüb. - In der Nase gerstiges Malz und solide herbale Hopfung mit leichter Orangenschale. - Antrunk schlank und gerstig hellmalzig mit zarter Toastnote und solider herbaler und orangenbitterer Hopfung. Feine Restsüße. Gut rezent, schlank, leicht trocken. Im Abgang fast pilsartig schlanke, knackige Hopfenherbe. Langer, gut bitterer Nachtrunk. - Süffig-schlankes, kernig gehopftes Frankenlager. Wundere mich etwas über die vielen kritischen Bewertungen hier. (22.12.2022.)

0,5 l bottle from Bierzwerg, Greven. Clear dark golden in the glass, white one finger head. Caramel smell. Taste has also caramel, grassy, some bitterness in the second row, hints of diacetyl. Very low carbonated. Wrong bottle? BB 010421.

6-4-6-3-12 Bottle, eight months before bbd. Pours clear golden yellow, with a big creamy head. Aroma is yeasty esters with notes of wood and wet hay, malts with biscuits, honey and some grassy notes, as well as floral hops. Medium body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is malts with syrupy bread, toffee and minerals, as well as floral hops with grass and earthy herbal notes. Some more bitterness would have been nice.

Light malty caramel taste, with a good sweetness. Some floral hints. Very little bitterness. Finishes a light bitter, with a short, sweet aftertaste.
