(Bottle) Golden and clear. Mild grassy aroma. Medium sized and quite steady white head. Medium bodied and bit dry palate with medium carbonation. Malts, grass, straw, fruitiness, light sweetness and bitterness in taste. Malts and biterness in aftertaste.

bottle. Clear pale yellow, medium-sized head. Light to medium-bodied with some nice malty flavours and an aromatic bitterness with hints of resin, slightly fruity.

(swing top bottle, as Krausen-Bügel) Clear, golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Moderately sweet malty, slightly biscuity and citrus-fruity nose with a light spicy and herbal hoppy touch. Sweet-bitter flavour, initially malt-accented subtle fruity taste; malty and dry hoppy, slightly woody finish. Aromatic and pleasant Helles (24.10.07)

Süß-herber Antrunk, weich, sehr süfig. Besonderheiten besitzt das Bier nicht, esahndelt sich um ein simples süffiges Lager mit bitterem Abgang. In Ordnnung aber schnell vergessen. 7/8/8/9/12/8

Draught at the brewpub. Pale amber colour, rich head. Restrained grassy nose. Fairly sweet with clean mouthfeel. Light resiny bitter finish. Feels less well balanced than many other Franconian lagers.

Bottled. A light golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of straw, and so is the flavor, though added a hint of butter.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of fonefan. Clear, pale golden with a small, white head. Lightly tart malt aroma. Fairly light body with pale malts and a lightly acidic edge before a dry and hoppy finish. Not completely clean. 150807

50 cL bottle. Pours yellow clear with a little white lacing head. Slight grainy and citric aroma. Flavour is the same and dry. Smooth mouthfeel. Dry and malty, slight watery finish.

Re-rated February 2024. Clear deep golden body under a big white head. Aroma has malt, biscuit and hint of wood. Taste is quite sweet for a lager, malt, bread and hint of toffee with a floral touch and moderate bitterness. Fine body, same, sweet malty aftertaste. Decent, feels a bit old fashioned. Previous rating from 2007: 500 ml bottle. Clear, pale, golden body with a big white head. Aroma is malt, grain, hop and some caramel. The flavor is fresh and clean, malty, some acidity and bitter. Refreshing and forgotten.

Hazy blond color. The aroma is soft, amlty. The mouthfeel is very soft, with some residual sweetness, maybe too much hay flavor, and a very light touch of lemon. Balanced.
