Cask at The Park Tavern, Eltham. Black pour with a tan head. Nose is chocolate, coffee, cocoa, raisin. Taste is dark chocolate, Espresso, raisin, cocoa, light smoke. Malty sweet finish.

Cask at GBBF 2022, Olympia, London. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a decent beige head on top. Rich, roasty, malty, chocolate, coffee taste & aroma. Decent stout.

Gravity Dispense at the Hovelling Boat, Ramsgate, 03/06/22 (Ramsgate Bimble with Roger). Black with a tan covering that dissipates edgewards and to a swirl. Nose is dark malts, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, mellow roast, dried fruit rinds. Taste comprises chocolate biscuit, coffee bean, roast malts, charr, dried fruit rinds, spice. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Solid well balanced and full flavoured stout.

Pours black with a small thin bubbly beige head. The aroma is roasted, coffee grounds with chocolate notes. A smooth roasted taste, roasted malts, coffee grounds flavours with a hint of treacle and a smooth roasted finish.

Ebony. Some pale brown head. Fine aroma and taste of dark chocolate, freshly roasted coffee, roasted malt, a slight hint of liquorice and very moderate hop bitterness. Smooth drinkability. Appropriately uncarbonated. From cask at The Bell & Dog, Deptford, London, on a live folk music night Wednesday 19.01.22.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours a very dark reddish brown with minimal cream head. Aroma has chocolate and nuts. In the mouth the texture is a bit watery. Flavour has dark fruits and chocolate with hints of fudge and coffee. Finish majors on fruit. A nice pleasant stout.
