Prije 4 godine kopavši u dvorištu temelje za novi verštet, aršov je udario u nešto tvrdo! Rasprčkavši zemlju ugledao sam tablet sa svježom ranom od udarca aršova. U nekoliko zadnjih trenutaka njegovog rada uspio sam vidjeti selfie samog Valensa sa receptom za pivo u ruci. Na njemu je pisalo - bazni slad 80%, amber 16%, cara 120 4%, Magnum za gorčinu, Cascade i Simcoe za aromu, US 05. Nisam znao da su antički ljudi bili zaljubljenici u društvene mreže i high tec, ali sam odlučio napraviti po ovom receptu i nazvati ga po njegovu autoru. 13°

Bottle, 0.50l. Aroma of caramel, dried fruit, flowers and honey. Pours cloudy dark brown color with huge creamy tan-like head, fair lacing and sparkling appearance. Taste starts medium sweet bready and caramelly, following is dried fruity, yeasty and grassy, mouthfeel is smooth and mild spicy, while finish is average bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and lively carbonation in palate. Well done…

Very hazy brown with a tan head. Aroma of dough, herbal hops, yeast, malt and caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle, 0.5l. Murky deep copper/brown pour, two finger frothy off-white head. Very good retention, long lasting head that leaves quite a lot of lacing on the glass. Nice on the nose, strong herbal character with grassy hops and citruses in the background. Thin body, soft carbonation, moderately fizzy. Average mouthfeel and texture, a bit on the light side. Herbal bitter taste with mild sweet notes. Strong herbal aroma, mild lingering spiciness. Grassy hops, very mild citrus notes in the background. Earthy. Minerals, noticable yeast presence. Mild caramel. Some off-notes here and there, cardboard, metal. Nothing alarming but it does seem a bit unbalanced. Medium lasting finish, lingering bitternes, slightly metallic. Not bad but culd be better.

Bottled 500ml. -from Spicy Days Zagreb. Amber coloured, medium sized off-white head, malty caramel nose. Sweet malty, caramel, light herbal and discreet fruity with some yeasty notes in the finish.

On tap at Beeryard, Zagreb. Pours hazy amber with white head. Caramel, malty, some fruit, yeast, sweetish with medium body.

Clear, golden-orange colored, medium off white frothy head. Aroma is of malt, biscuit, light fruity and perfumey hops, doughy, bit alcohol note when warmer. Taste is medium sweet malt, biscuit, doughy bready, medium to light fruity and herbal hops, bit yeast, medium to light bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. (on tap, Hop In, Zagreb)
