“It is What it Was” is our newest non-hazy ipa, using local cascade and our favorite hop, citra. It’s exactly what we remember loving about ipas years back, with a crisp bite, mellow sweetness, touch of bitter, and tons of hop aroma. We hop this thing as much as our hazies, but the texture is something else entirely.

Hazy peach-orange body, thin off-white head. Rather dry body, floral and piny with citrus rind. There's a touch of distracting diacetyl in the aroma. Otherwise a pretty solid, middle-of-the-road IPA.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a clear gold with a finger of white foam that lingers. Pine, citrus zest and light toasted caramel notes on the palate. More piney and zesty hops on the palate with similar malty flavors. Balanced and easy drinking.
