Tap at Three Fires. Caramel, Belgian yeast, sweet fruity - maybe apple, vanilla and spice aroma. Amber with a small creamy off-white head, nice lacing. Caramel malt, Belgian yeast, spicy rye flavor. Medium creamy body. Very enjoyable.

Poured a copper color with a small off-white head. Aroma was sweet caramel malt, some spice, plenty of rye in there. Flavor is nice rye notes with a nice caramel, malt sweetness. Good grain flavor in this one. Very refreshing - something I didn’t expect.

Draft. Hazy deep gold/orange body. Frothy off-white head, slowly diminishing. Aroma highlights the yeast — clove, banana dusty cobweb. Also notes of bread, toasted grain, pepper, rye. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery turning sticky texture, soft carbonation. Leans toward sweet, but the yeast profile plays well with the biscuit and bread. Light lingering bitterness, but that’s really an afterthought.

Draft. Orange-amber beer with an off-white head. Malt and light pine aroma. Malt and light grain flavor with spice and light pine. Medium bodied. Grain and spice lingers with light pine.

Draft @ Amesbury Ale House. Dark hazy amber color with 1/2 inch thick foam that laced well. Nose is mostly Belgian yeast with sugar. Wheat seems to mingle with the Belgian yeast and malt. The rye is subtle. Texture is creamy. Very well balanced. Incredibly easy to drink, my glass was emptied real quick.

tap at Dash In - Pours hazy amber-orange with a small, lingering off-white head. The aroma is of spicy yeast and caramel. It tastes of sweet, bready, caramel malt and spicy Belgian yeast leading into a somewhat dry finish. This tasty brew has a medium body and lively carbonation. Very well done.

A new Ommegang beer for 3 bucks a 12 ounce? - sure, what the hell - turbid orange - large, fluffy head - very soft and earthy aroma - surprisingly sweet notes or citrus (orange, mango) - dusty yeast notes - spicy and lightly sour rye - carbonation is full in the mouth, but very soft and creamy - fairly sour flavor which is not entirely pleasant, like soured orange juice - moderate acidity - husky grain flavors - spicy, pepper finish - lingering acidity and sour yeast notes - meh.

Aroma: The aroma has some Belgian yeast, spice, bread, a little rye, some earth, and some herbs
Appearance: Pours a mostly clear orange color with a inch of fizzy off-white head that leaves streaky lace
Flavor: The taste is lightly sweet, pretty grainy, with some plus spice, fruity notes, and a slightly bitter finish
Palate: The body is medium (leaning light), it has a spicy, tingly feel to it, and a somewhat dry, spicy finish
Overall Impression: This is a pretty interesting beer with some nice complexity. As I'm listing the components that I noticed, I'm sitting here thinking about how many other components there are to this beer. I probably missed quite a few, but I pointed out the ones that were clear to me. Quite interesting, well worth trying, and the type of beer where'd you probably find something different every time you try it. I may be a bit too high on the score, but I just found myself enjoying it.

Pours a copper-amber color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily. Stringy lacing. The aroma consists of grainy malt, citrus and hops. Light to medium body with flavors of earthy malt, clove, wheat and fruit. The finish is sweet with a nutty and malty aftertaste. Decent all around.

12 ounce bottle. Amber orange color topped by a big rocky beige head. Bready malt nose with lots of graininess. Fragrant lemony aroma. Fruity citrus character upfront, more grains come through. Noticeable wheat and rye flavor lends a sourdough-like quality. Good balance with a dry hoppy finish. Overall, a very tasty brew and a nice effort from Ommegang.
