Pours hazy gold with a huge white head. Aroma of bright citrus. Taste has a big citrus hit on the front go the tongue that slowly fades to a champagne element. Palate is dominated by champagne yeast, sweet at first and then dry. Interesting, definitely lives up to the style.

Super crisp and ever-so-slightly hazy golden and honey coloured body with a faint, single centimetre tall pure white head, yet zillions of micro-bubbles rising from the bottom. If this were in a flute, you would assume it was a real methode champenoise wine. Aroma of crisp citrus, light wheat and yeast, some subdued grain and mellow funk with a lot of dry and almost astringent qualities with the hops coming out towards the end. Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence with a ton of grass, hay and light citrusey hoppy qualities at the end, but the yeast, malt and light sugars come out as well. Aftertaste shows the pungent yeast and effervescence with hardly any hop components coming out to show, but maybe a light grassy finish that is noticeable throughout. Overall, a light and very crisp beer that does as what is planned - try to taste like a Champagne, and this does it more than any other beer I've had from the style - very nice throughout. I sampled this sixteen ounce pint-sized pour on draught from Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 05-February-2019 for US$4,00.
