Pours a rich, clear brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of chocolate malt tones, some nuttiness. Taste has slightly sweet malt, quickly fades to a nutty, caramel finish. Palate has caramel, some lingering nuttiness. Good.

dark brown colour, large, dense beige-ish head, which lasts for several minutes; aroma of rye bread, nutty, some dried fruity (apricot ?!), and soy sauce notes; taste has the same notes with syrupy sweetness and roasted bittery notes; not bad

12 oz. can. Pours an unclear, brown color, with a small, tan head. The aroma is cardamom, rye, brown sugar, and pumpernickel. Fairly sweet and malty. Lightly bitter. Creamy, grainy, and hearty.

Strong kibble nose. Clear rust, medium cream colored head. Kibble, with lightly sweet elderberry accents. Medium body, easy carbonation. I know it's typical of the style, but this a very dog food-like doppelbock.

Can. Pours hazy copper with a large thick beige head. Malty aroma with artificial chocolate and caramel notes. Taste follows aroma with some brown bread. Not sure what style this is, but wouldn't classify as a doppelbock.
