2014 feiert Miesbach 900 Jahre Markt Miesbach.

What a name ... 0,5 l bottle from Getränke Rücker, Lengerich. Murky flat brown in the glass with an huge nearly three finger very foamy head. Intensive fruity smell with some clove. Taste is intensive fruity, orange, banana, dark berrys. Also toasted grain and yeast, little bit dry. Thick texture. Not as alcoholic as expected.

0.5l bottle. Hazy orangish brown body with a pearl head. Aroma of ripe bananas, biscuit, caramel, some dates and a tiny bit of lemon zest. Taste of caramel, biscuit, ripe bananas, raisins and some lemon zest again. Sweet and filling, but it also has a bit of sourness to it that lightens it a bit. The alcohol content is very well hidden. Great weizenbock.

From the bottle. A foamy, off white head slowly settles. Aroma is full of banana and chocolate. Taste is sweet with the spicy bite of clove. Lightly alcoholic at the end. Body is full, carbonation trends towards prickly. A quite good example of the style. Updated 07/20: struck this time by the bananas and toffee and a delicious chewiness. Nice! 3.8 -> 4.0

500ml bottle provided by Karl Heinz. Shared with friends. Stable beige head. Dark brown body with a wheat haze. Clingy lacing. Moderate smell of bread and dried fruits. Doughy flavours together with ripe banana sweetness and caramel. Sweet malt-fruity ending. Fine depth. Okay in smaller amounts, rather sweet in the long run.

Litt lacing. Aroma av banan. Smaken banan & søt frukt. Ble for søt.

Brown with little white head. Aroma is cinnamon and rather sour apples without peel, some lacto, overripe banana and milk chocolate. Taste is sweet caramel banana phenols with spicy yeasty lactic elements. Also some apple-y sourness and not much bitterness from molasses. Drinkable and full bodied but the resemblance with an apple strudel + cream creates the impression of biting into nothing. However an excellent Weizenbock. Not too phenolic or alcoholic and the apple cinnamon thing is very characteristic and likeable.

Bottle. Brown color with eggshell head. Aroma is chocolate, overripe bananas, caramel, a bit phenolic, cloves. Taste is overripe brown banana peel, chocolate, milky and spicy yeasts, cloves. Silky mouthfeel, low carbonation, mineralic finish. Good Weizenbock, not too phenolic and no off flavours.
