Bottle pour from share with Chalumeaux--thanks, TJ! Appearance is opaque black with nice viscosity, no head or lacing. Aroma is roasted malt--a bit earthy--toffee-tootsie roll, chocolate, vanilla. Taste has some sweet/dark fruit, oak, bourbon, toffee, vanilla, chocolate, roasted malt. Mouthfeel is full bodied with smooth, thick texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, no alcohol harshness, a good deal of complexity and delicious.

12 oz. bottle. Thanks TJ! Aroma of oak, raisin, prune, burnt malt. Flavor has plenty of dark fruit, bourbon soaked raisins, oak, plenty of roast. 12.3 % is hidden shows no burn whatsoever. Body is full smoother texture. Gosh damn!!

Delicious, smooth, well balanced, lots of flavor, great base for the vanilla bean version.
