Level 42 bottleshare, Santa is flying past below! Thanks to Leighton for the can. Clear amber beer, patchy cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Mellow dark malts, trace of dark chocolate and a whisper of roasty bitterness. Piney fruity hop but a little thin and tangy. A bit thin overall but decent.

Can shared at level 42, thanks! It pours hazy dark brown with a medium beige head. The aroma is pine needles, varnish, caramel, cola, brown bread, dried fruits and Dr Pepper. The taste is smooth, bitter - sweet, piney varnish, resin, peppery spice, caramel, cola, Dr Pepper, charred wood, citrus peel, light alcohol and spice with a dry, charred finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Found this a touch harsh, considering its black "session" IPA.

From bottle. Pours dark brown worth an abundant cappuccino head, very fine. Aroma is herbaceous, strongly herbaceous. Body is light, with some stickiness. Taste is markedly bitter, with more generous and terrain. Finish is bitter and long, maybe too much.

Can split at L42 Xmas Shit Shower, thanks to Sleighton, 19/12/16. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent khaki cap. Nose is pine needle, light cocoa sprinkle, toffee, earthy fruits. Taste comprises grass, toffee, grains, light cocoa, hint of tropical fruits, light pine dusting. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with an earthy hop rinse. Ok if a little thin.

Can shared in London - picked up at Kill the Cat. Pours clear brown with a creamy, khaki head. Pleasant citrusy hops in the nose, orange, toasted brown bread. Light sweet flavour with more dry, toasty brown bread, burnt herbs, melon, orange, some pine. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes fairly dry, with further toast, some floral notes, toasted toffee, tangerine rind. Simplistic but not bad.

Fra fat på Den Gamle Major 25 Okt 16. Kullsort. Middels høyt tett skum med litt farge. Stabilt. Pen lacing. God fruktaroma. Plommer & fersken. Smaken lett tørket frukt. Litt tørr etter hvert. Ypperlig 4,7-øl.
