Germanic styled bock ale-deep red earthy beets are added during the secondary ferment- nothing beats this beety treat-get a 330 ml bottle while supplies last...or wait till next year as this one will return each fall.

Pours with a murky dark brown body and modest foam but a tinge of deep ruby when held against the light. It's an interesting meld of beet and roasted coffee on the nose, earthy and a little sharp but at least I'm getting both elements. Taste is nice sweet biscuit, brown sugar, soft beets and good roasted malt notes. Lingering sweetness. Kind of nice in fact, good experiment, a little more balance and refinement could take this somewhere amazing.

Medium brown with a slight reddish note, this has a light bitterness, and an off-dry character. The beet is noticeable, the malts a bit too crackery and needing more residual sugar for my taste.
