Medium copper body and modest foam. Sort of a sweet leaf aroma, spruce and honey it seems. Taste is good spruce, slight caramel, vague lemon and only slightly septic. A little thin, missing good oiliness and carbonation. Sort of kind of getting there.

Poured from the tap. Clear-ish amber with white head. Earthy spruce that shines through nicely. Enjoyable.

Pale amber colour with a slight haze. Thick head. The spruce character is different than most, richer and earthier, and more distinctive. Not sure what they did different from other spruce beers, but I’m digging it. The base golden ale has good body and a decent sweetness that complements this spruce character quite well.
