Cremig malzig-rauchiger Antrunk. Etwas söuerlich, Rauchigkeit wird etwas milder und bleibt dann konstant. Säuerlichkeit weitet sich aus, wenig würzig. Im Mittelteil eher süßlich, etwas malziger, Rauchigkeit scheint hier bedeutender un ist im hinteren Abgang gar führend da die anderen Aromen abnehmen. Nett. On tap @ In de Wildeman. Amber colour, off white head. Nose of smoke, perfume and malts. Taste is smoke, bitterness and perfume. I like smoked, but this was too much for me. I couldn’t get through to the actual flavours (if there were any).

Thick creamy, fluffy head over deep dark brown beer with an orange shine. Smoked Schinken , baconrind, and a slight sourish touch as from wheat. Maybe some smoked mackerel aroma as well, and sourish straw. Again sourish (but not infectionous!) and smoked, the smokiness now also reminding of Lapsang Oolong. Touch of woody bitterness, in perfect balance. Longlasting finish of smoke, and then some hint of sweet maltsugars and caramel. After some time, sourness connects itself to the carbonation. Well-bodied, but not really thick. Another superb Hummel Brew, sorry, Bräu. And many, many thanks to Sebastian and Roman for supplying me with this long sought-after gem.

Ruby-red, off-white head. Slightly smoked aroma. Round flavours of smoked malt, creamy. Slightly bitter aftertaste, very drinkable.

Tap @ In de Wildeman. Clear brown color, short off-white head. Aroma is light smoked, caramel malt, some hop, like a doppelbock with some smoked hints. Taste is very smokey, again like a typical good doppelbock, but this time with a lot of smoke. Very decent doppelbock.

Bottled. Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is roasted and smoked malts. Flavour is very pleasantly smoked malts with some sweeter notes. Enormously kickass smoked brew!

Dark amber color, small off-white head. Smoked, malty aroma. Chewy malty, very smokey and a bit grassy. Nicely balanced rauchbier, you can’t notice 8.1 % much.

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is smoky malty combined with notes of bacon. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of smoke, and with an alcohol burn towards the end.

(Bottle 50 cl) Slightly hazy, dark amber with a small, rough, off-white head. Fat aroma of smoke. Considering the alcohol the body is only medium with burned malty accents and then this fat, baconish flavour. Distinctly bitter finish. Very unique. Thank you Dalle. 120207

(bottle, bought at the brewery) Reddish amber colour with a small beige foam, lacing into a creamy head. Very pleasant smoked beechwood malt aroma with a distinctive fruity note of dark berries. Complex malty taste, not only smoked but slightly roasted malt with a fruity tinge; moderately sweet flavour, smooth carbonation, medium to full body; moderately sweet and smoky finish. A great taste experience.
