A wholesome best bitter designed to be true to this iconic beer style, with only a few respectful tweaks. Expect biscuit and caramel flavours from our malts, balanced by English hops with grassy, herbal and citrus notes and refreshing bitterness. Everything is lifted by just a touch of Cascade in the dry-hop.

Cask handpull at The Made Inn Ashford. Clear amber colour lasting cream head. Yeasty malty aroma. OK bitter. Bit twiggy. English hops I guess. Some malt some biscuit light hopping. OK. Carbonation almost all in the head.

Hard Pour can. Thick creamy head stayed on a clear copper coloured body. Sweet, malt & caramel aroma. Medium bodied, smooth soft & prickly on the cloying back. Sweet malts, caramel, berries biscuit tastes with a tangy bitter finish. Has the feel of a keg bitter - Good one.

16/6/2022. Cask at the 30th East Anglian Beer & Cider Festival, Bury St Edmunds. Pours clear pale amber with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma of chestnut, mouldy fruit, malt and sweaty socks. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness and body. Slightly oily, soft carbonation. Looked good and tasted nice, much better than its aroma.

Can. Almost clear amber with a 1/2cm near white head that never disappears. Meek aroma of toffee, biscuit, vague citrus, weeds. A pleasant creaminess fills the texture out a bit. Moderate caramel and biscuit sweetness before weeds and grapefruit at the insistently bitter finish. Pretty good.

Can picked up from Etre Gourmet webshop Grez-Dorcieau Belgium and consumed at home Wednesday 22nd June 2022 listening to 6Music at Glastonbury Festival, cooking Cottage Pie. Pours dark amber with an off-white head. Soft in the mouth, classic English bitterness, some caramel, subtle citrus touches, a little biscuit'ness'and a touch of hoppiness throughout, noticed more on the occasional burp. Very nice.
