At Skillet, Seattle. (Labeled on the menu as "Brio Pale Ale", whatever that means. Should I have rated the wrong beer, feel free to let me know...) Pours hazy deep golden with a minimal, lasting, off-white head that leaves lacing. The aroma contains hops, grass, spices, herbs and yeast. It tastes light yeasty sour at first, then medium to heavy spicy bitter - Belgian style. Medium body, slick/oily texture, lively carbonation. Not bad, but nothing I haven’t tasted before in Belgium...

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours light golden amber with a fizzy/creamy white head. Aroma is floral and lightly roasted malt. Med body. Flavor seems earthy, with fairly roasted malt, but there’s something like floral/citrus as well. More dry than not. Decently bitter, rather clean, earthy finish. Pleasant change from overly malty pales.
