27 April 2019. At Zythos Bierfestival. Deputy Taster: Anke. Cheers to Ama Deke, Erwin, John & Meeki! Clear pale golden, unstable, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of bread, yeast, cow fodder, grain, vague apple & pear, melon. Taste is light to medium grainy bitter, quite ‘crude’, yeasty & cow fodder-like aspects, sweetish notes of bready malt & ‘classic’ fruits, sourish wheat underneath. Dry, grainy, bready, yeasty finish. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Hoppiness not very apparent here, and not very aromatic as a whole. I prefer the Hallertau version.
