Geruch malzig, hopfig, grasig. Geschmack hopfig grasig, malzig, leicht würzig.

Heller, mild herber Antrunk. Leichte Getreidenoten, etwas malzig.

Bottle: Hazy, pale greenish golden, small white layer, hayish-grassy nose with some fruity-yeasty and also clovey undertones; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light bodied and pretty soft; mild and slightly lingering fruity and bitter finish. Bland, but quite O.K. …

(bottle) Hazy, yellow colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Yeasty, pale malty and slightly doughy aroma with a tinge of citrus and grassy hops. Mildly bitter-sweet flavour, rather light bodied with a crisp carbonation. Yeasty pale malt-character with notes of white bread and a delicately grassy and slightly herbal touch; bitter-sweet malty and slightly hoppy finish. Clean but unspectacular Zwickelbier. 27.IX.12

Thanks to quack-duck for that one! Bottle looks simple and a bit old. Beer in the glass not too turbid, small head. Starts mild but quite dry and floury-yeasty. Modest fruity like grapefruit. Finish boring and dry. Not my favourite.

The aroma has a healthy dose of breadcrust. Very herbal hop mit decent breadcrust on the palate. The body is fairly light and the carbonation quite high for a kellerbier.
