Cask at The Playhouse, Colchester. Poured a clear dark amber with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is weak malt with some hoppy notes. The flavour is medium bitter with a malt hop liqourice bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A decent bitter but the hoppy aftertaste wasn’t great.

Cask @ JDW Muckle Cross, Elgin
Golden brown, clear, thintight white head with good lacing. Aroma of caramel malts and soft toffee malts. Taste of caramel malts, soft toffee malts, some fruity hedgerow hops, touch of toasted malts, bit of cereal. Thin to medium body, smooth. Finish - some more bitter cereal weetabix malts come through.
Overall - It’s a nice fruity malt bitter, but somewhat under flavoured for the abv - tasted more like a 4.3% beer

Raven, Bath. Golden-amber. Sweetish with light caramel. Nice chocolate, more caramel on the palate - good balance but really nothing special.
