Brewed for Barrel & Flow Fest 2021

A Collaboration between Troegs Brewing Company, Mack Brewing Company, and Harris Family Brewery. Artwork by Tristan Bond (@bond_of_art).

This right here is an Imperial Pilsner crafted by a Pennsylvania community with big dreams. Two breweries-in-planning. A third brewery built by family and friends. A Harrisburg artist who lives by the words "Be vibrant." And a game-changing festival with global aspirations. We taste crisp notes of biscuit and fresh-baked bread with pops of citrusy hops. "Through the barrel flows creativity," says Barrel & Flow's Day Bracey. "It's kinda dope."

16oz can pours out crisp clean golden topped with a white head. Nose is nice sweet grain some and some grassy citrus hops. Taste is more of the nice grain malts and a grassy hops kick.

Can from Tavour. Pours brassy gold with a large creamy/foamy white head. Aroma is bready with several things, but possibly a hint of weed. Approaching full bodied. Flavor is bready, grassy, and a bunch of things I can't parse out. Weed may be in it. Citrus certainly is. Heat is present. Overall it suggests a malt liquor more than a pilsner, but there's no trace of fusil oils.

Boozy as expected, sweeter than expected, bit like malt liquor. Not sure I'd do it again.

16oz can from Tavour. Pale golden, clear, foamy white head. Full bready aroma, light citrus notes. Taste brings the booze, ABV is apparent, bready, grainy. Really strong. And great.

Amber with a small white head that left very good lacing. Sweet and tangy with perfume and honey notes. Long finish. Medium body

Can to glass. Lots of heat from the alcohol here and I think they could have turned it down a notch or two. Slightly hazed Golden with off-white head that retains well and patterns down the glass. Aroma is grain, alcohol, perfume and stone fruit. Flavor is dismal alcohol, grains and tropical fruit.

16 oz. Aroma has notes of fresh baked bread, clove, hayfields. Pours mostly clear golden with a two finger off-white head with excellent retention. Taste is moderately sweet and a bit savory with a lightly bitter edge. A little boozy, but not too harsh. Imperial Pilsners are so weird. They taste nothing like a pils; they're definitely their own beast. Interesting, but I think it would be better and smoother with an ABV in the 8 or 9% range.
