As a part of the C&O Canal Libations Trail in celebration of the C&O Canal National Historical Park 50th Anniversary we are releasing Lock 44. This Kellerbier serves as both a pre-activity beer with how light it is to not weigh you down on your exploration and a post-activity beer with its refreshing qualities. It functions very much like a lock, helping guide you up and down to your next level of adventure.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear gold with a huge fluffy white head. Aroma is somewhat caramel malt. Med body. Flavor is aroma plus some grass/spice hop. Not undry. Moderately bitter. Nice flavor. I like the style.

16oz can pours a sunset orange with a cap of white head. Nose has malt and soggy bread and a little caramel. Flavor is doughy, some caramelized root veg, some caramel, soggy crackers. Finishes crisp, just off dry. Good enough.
