BEAUCOUP BRUGNON À L'AIDE DE LAVANDE is a lambic-inspired sour ale. This 2020 harvest batch showcases one select barrel of beer, which was aged for 12 months before multiple additions of favored cultivars of fresh, organic nectarines and peaches grown at Masumoto Family Farm in Del Rey, CA. The fruit was crushed by hand and added directly to the barrel (at a dosage rate of about 300 grams per liter of beer), where it aged for another 14 weeks before bottle-conditioning with local honey. An infusion of foraged French lavender flowers was added at bottling time. Chill and pour carefully, as this bottle contains sediment, and features high carbonation to enhance mouthfeel and aroma.

Small whitish head, fast gone over hazy yellow-orange beer. Solvent, acids, lavender, almost soapy. Very sharp lactic & fruitacids, peach, and then lavender - but only giving a lining in the background. Light,
acidthinning and -burn. Again one too etching as so many's the American sour. The fruit gives an unmistakable bonus, but it's just too agressive to be fully enjoyable. MALSE lambic, gentlemen! Thanks to Chris Q. and the gang!
