Our Unfiltered British Lager is influenced by the Bavarian Helles style, but just like all Utopian Beers, it has been brewed solely with the finest, British grown malted barley and hops. A slow, low temperature fermentation followed by a long cold conditioning, gives this lager a crisp, clean finish whilst allowing all the wonderful flavours from the malt and hops to fully develop and shine. This unfiltered version of our signature lager is still light in colour with a slight haze from retained yeast which provides a greater depth of flavour than its filtered sibling.

On the edge of gushing to huge, ragged white head over clear metallic, finely carbonated golden beer. Faintly spicy malts, bit peppery, faintly leafy. Dusty. Very fresh, (green) leafy flavour, dry cookies. Very faint pineapple ester. Finish is sweetish. Light body, in the end soft carbonation. OK, nothing special. But! It has a blue passport, halleluia! Txs to Stef!

Keg at Anspach & Hobday, Bermondsey.. Surprisingly clear light gold. Thin translucent white head barely skims the surface. Aroma is malty with abitter grainy and slightly metallic edge. Bitter. Grainy. Slightly tart citrus. Ever so slightly metallic. Underlying malts become more prominent into the finish. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation is buoyant. Long dry slightly astringent finish. It's a decent Helles innit.

440ml can. Light hazy pale gold, moderate sized white head which reduces to a nice top. Aroma of pale malts, citrus, pear, grass. Fruity flavour with a creamy grain background, grassy and citrus finish with a mild bitter bite. Light to moderate bodied, still refreshing. This is excellent.

Keg @ Admiral Benbow Beer Invasion 2024. Pours clear gold, large white head that seems to grow out the glass. Grainy cereal malt aroma. Flavour profile centres around a floral, grainy, grassy lager profile, some bready moments. Not bad.

Canned (From Systembolaget Avion Umeå, thanks Jonathan!). Yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is herbs, some floral, grassy and mild grainy notes. Flavour is grainy, herbal, grassy and some bready tones. Quite a nicely balanced lager, which was very fresh to drink too.

Tap at London Craft Beer Festival 2023. Pale, hazy gold with lace. Soft, malty nose, bit of yeast esters, lemony hops. Soft and smooth, silky body. An unfiltered helles in the South Bavarian style. Good.
