WCBD 2019s theme of foraging led us to play with the potential within the theme rather than the definition: we decided to create a beer 'for-ageing'. This iteration is bold and complex with a deep, intense roast and dark fruit flavours. Half of this batch will be kept back, rested and then revived for IWCBD 2020. We brewed this Imperial Stout with our friends from Ladies That Beer who are doing great things for the local beer scene and beyond.

Keg at IMBC '19, session 2, 04/10/19. Pitch black with a decent tan head. Nose is chocolate, dried fruits, light spice, molasses. Taste comprises dark malts, toffee, charr, roasted tones, dark chocolate, fruit cake. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced boost. Not bad but not one I'd revisit.

Third of a pint, hand-pulled in The Grapes, Liverpool on 29th June 2019. Lovely rich Imp Stout with loads of dark fruits blending with the malty base, roasty and nice.
