Cask at Last Post, Derby Pours a pale yellow with very little head. Nose is vaguely lemony, but unpleasant – washing up liquid maybe ? In the mouth it is basically bland with very little going on – just some lemon hints. There are some hops in the finish, but they fade to a nasty “bitter lemon” aftertaste. Won’t be drinking this one again.

3rd Jan 2019; cask, hand-pulled half-pint at The Crown Inn, Oakengates, Shropshire. Pale golden body, clean and clear, white head that gave lacing. Sadly I found this a little bland with not much going on aroma or taste wise, more of a summer quaffing ale than a cold winters day offering. Basically a weak blend of malts and hops with no real flavours to get my senses excited.
