Meet El Toro, an English Wheat Ale which uses lashings of Wai-iti and Wakatu hops to drive a big, refreshing citrus and lime zest hop character into the beer whilst maintaining a fairly restrained bitterness. We’ve also used malted wheat to help smooth the beer out creating an utterly delicious and easily drinkable beer. It goes perfectly with seafood where the sweetness from the malt compliments dishes with prawns and scallops, and it truly comes into its own when matched with dishes involving kaffir lime or lemongrass, think Thai Green Curry vibes.

Cask half-pint, hand-pulled in The Malthouse, Ironbridge Shropshire on 17th June 2018. Clear golden body, full white crown on top. Slight citrus leanings in both the nose and taste, never would have guessed it was a Wheat Ale.
