Brooklyn Scorcher IPA is a surprisingly sessionable IPA. A floral, piney aroma strikes first, followed by a burst of mouthwatering bitterness as the hops begin their attack. Suddenly, a hint of toasty malt and a clean, lively finish burst in to leave you thirsty for more. It’s ludicrously tasty, and at a reasonable 4.5%, it’s a beer you can come back to again and again.

Draught at KØ17. Fruity aroma. Clear shiny yellow colour. Small white head. The flavour is fruity and chalky. Good bitterness but gets a little rough in the finish.

Bottle from Waitrose, Northwood. A golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Vague hoppy, citrus, pine aroma. Tastes vaguely hoppy, citrus, pine, too bitter. Incredibly bland offering from Brooklyn, they can do so much better than this, I threw half of it down the sink.

Bottle at home picked up from ASDA. A very clear mid golden coloured pour with a lasting frothy white head. Aroma is fresh cut grass, spicy hop, hay, faint weed. Flavour is composed of semi sweet biscuit / light malts, spicy grassy hop, little mineral, mellow dirty citrus notes. Palate is medium light, chalky, moderate carbonation. Drinks ok.
