Brooklyn Scorcher IPA is a surprisingly sessionable IPA. A floral, piney aroma strikes first, followed by a burst of mouthwatering bitterness as the hops begin their attack. Suddenly, a hint of toasty malt and a clean, lively finish burst in to leave you thirsty for more. It’s ludicrously tasty, and at a reasonable 4.5%, it’s a beer you can come back to again and again.

Bottle from Waitrose. Deep gold in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. Some citrus fruits, leafy hops, crisp malts, before a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Bottle @ DØE. Clear yellow with small white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, hop, little citrus, grass and a little grapefruit. Flavour is malt, fruit, hop, little citrus, little dry, little grainy, medium sweet and herbal.

355ml bottle. Clear, yellow-ish golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Citrusy and minimally floral, hoppy aroma, hints of lemon, biscuity malty background. Taste is crispy, citrusy hoppy, notes of lemon, lemon zest, lemon drops, minimally floral hoppy overtones, biscuity malty basis. Flawless, easy drinkable, OK.

12 oz bottle from Waitrose, Sunningdale. A pale amber pour with lively bubbles, athin white head and pleasant lacing; the aroma has some pineapple fruit, thyme and grassy herbs; rather thin in the mouth with a sharp woody bitterness and a fruity taste. Very drinkable.

Bottle from Waitrose and drunk at home. Clear gold colour with a lasting white head. Piney grapefruit hoppy aroma. Very easy drinking. Good hops throughout. Well balanced quite bitter on the finish. I enjoyed it. I liked the piney resiny grapefruit hops. Very sessionable.
