New brew of this Mild for the 2017 Wellington Charter Day celebrations: have to say my cask pint in The Pheasant (Wellington) on 4th March was a whole lot better than my first tasting, my score being altered accordingly: please read on for me first rating. Dark Ruby coloured with an off-white head. Half-pint, cask: 19th Sep 2016 in Ye Olde Fighting Cocks, Oakengates Shropshire. Bog Myrtle used in the brew, gave the beer a strange ’seaweed’ like flavour (without the saltiness). I did not take to the beer, the low alcohol level not helping its cause. First beer from the Rowton brewery I have not really enjoyed: sorry Jim and Steve.
