Hand-pulled half-pint in The Crown Inn, Oakengates on 1st May 2015. Black with a ruby hue to the edges, just a collar around the glass for a topping. Peat Bog smoky from the start in both the aroma and taste, malts ruling the roost over the hop content throughout. Decent, if a little too smoky for my wife’s palate.
