Cask, lunchtime pint in The Pheasant Inn, Wellington Shropshire on 9th Mar 2015. Pours a really black colour with a full and lasting tanned blanket of foam on top. Over roasted, burnt maltiness in the nose and taste, dry, bitter and showing slight coffee and dark chocolate notes from the malts. Decent.

Cask at the Wellington; dark mahogany brown pour with a frothy beige head, feint chocolate aroma, taste has plain chocolate, light pine.
