Hand-pulled half-pint at The Crown Inn, Oakengates on 1st May 2014, one of thirty four hand-pulls to choose from. This is one of the breweries ’Single Hop’ series, Bouclier being a fairly new French variety. I don’t normally like ’single hop’ beers often finding them one dimensional and boring, this however was far from one dimensional and boring. Golden, pale gold really, with a white head. Very floral in the nose, perfumed and interesting. The taste followed nicely, again with a pleasant floral feel. Different and interesting, I really enjoyed it.
