On gravity at the Victoria, Clifton Lido, Bristol 2/11/2013. Copper coloured with a frothy, off-white head. Big, sticky orange fruits, a hint of caramel and some solid mlats, before a moderately bitter finish. Enjoyable.

Two pints: hand-pulled in The White Hart, Shifnal, Shropshire on 28 Sep 2013. Deep amber body with a full head of foam. Malty molasses rule the roost here: semi-sweet nose and taste with a mild hop bitterness arriving late on in the mouth. Almost rich in texture, certainly flavoursome and heavy tasting, the malts giving the brew a powerful and warming feel from the start. This is a winter warmer sort of beer and although it had been a lovely warm sunny day the night chill was creeping in when I had my pints, really enjoyed them.
