Hand-pulled half-pint in Ye Olde Fighting Cocks, Oakengates on 1st Aug 2013. Pale golden brew with a good sized white crown which produced some heavy lacing on the glass. Almost odourless, a faint hint of floral hops and some weak perfume notes. The taste was a delicate blend of mild malt flavours and lightly bittering hops: calling it bland would be unfair, but it didn’t possess a great deal of ’oomph’ in any direction. It was however refreshing as the weather was warm and humid at the time. No body depth to speak of: my first beer from Rowton I haven’t really enjoyed.
