2013 was the 60th anniversary of the launch of the Royal Yacht Britannia. To celebrate, I’ve created a brand new brew with a nautical theme. Ocean Wave is an exceptionally refreshing pale wheat beer. Pioneer hops give it a zingy citrus aroma, and this is complemented by a touch of lemon zest added to the hopback. This beer also contains Cascade hops

Cask-conditioned at the Pelican, Gloucester, 5/6/2015. Slightly hazy, pale gold with a frothy, white, head. A touch of sharp lemon fruit, grainy malts, floral hops and a gentle finish. Ok.

Cask at Wellington; clear straw yellow pour with a bubbly white head, aroma has lemon and sweet malts, taste has light citrus, biscuity malts a hint of spice, not much wheat action.

Hand-pulled pint in the Wrekin Inn, Wellington (Shropshire): 12 July 2013. Very, very pale hay/straw coloured body: thin white head that surprisingly produced some heavy lacing. Good hop aroma and taste; spicy, floral and un-citrus. Looked weak and thin but actually the body feel didn’t let the beer down at all.
